January 2025, Los Angeles faced one of its worst wildfire disasters. The Palisades and Eaton fires destroyed over 16,000 structures, and forced more than 200,000 people to evacuate. With damages exceeding $1 trillion, the impact has been devastating. The strong Santa Ana winds only made things worse, spreading the flames at alarming speeds.

Watching this unfold was heartbreaking. Seeing families lose everything, entire neighborhoods turned to ash—it’s something I’ll never forget. The firefighters and emergency crews worked tirelessly, and organizations like the American Red Cross stepped in to provide shelter, food, and support. But even now, many people are still struggling to rebuild their lives.

That’s why I want to encourage anyone who can to help. Even though the fires are contained, the need for support hasn’t ended. The American Red Cross is still providing aid, and every donation makes a difference.
